Born and raised in Arizona, Patty recently returned home to the Southwestern US after stints in California and Texas, but this time to Santa Fe, New Mexico. After a long, fulfilling career in the education system, Patty has discovered and pursued a new and growing passion in ceramics, inspired by the lively local art scene for which Santa Fe is known. As she continues to learn and explore a variety of new techniques, styles, and forms, she is finding new opportunities to combine her deep loves of both art and teaching by passing on her knowledge and learnings to new students, including her husband, children, and grandchild! Patty’s ceramics aim to capture, reflect, and preserve the beauty of the natural world with vibrant colors, engaging textures, and innovative techniques with special focus on recycled and environmentally friendly materials.
